APILIFE VAR is a VMD approved all natural Varroa treatment. Simple to use, inexpensive and with no additional equipment needed. Each sachet contains 2 strips; treatment requires 2 sachets (4 strips). APILIFE VAR contains essential oils (Thymol, Eucalyptus Oil, Menthol and Camphor) and is the organic solution for treatment against Varroasis in bees (Varroa Destructor) and tracheal mite. DO NOT USE during honey flow in order to avoid tainting the taste of the honey. DO NOT USE simultaneously with other acaricides. Product Application- For maximum efficiency, use during late summer with optimum results for outdoor temperatures of 20-25 °C. When handling the product wear suitable protective clothing avoiding direct skin and eye contact. After application, be sure to wash hands and any material in contact with the strip in soap and water. All colonies in the same apiary should be treated simultaneously. Treatment in temperatures at 30°C or above may result in increased stress and mortality in adult bees and brood. Complete the treatment without supers, taking care not to position the strips in the centre of the beehive or near the brood. Avoid placement near any sugar feeders as this may result in reduced feeding. The treatment should be administered once per year. One strip per hive for every seven days, complete treatment involves four strips. Take one strip from the sachet, placing it in one of the four corners above the honeycombs, far away from the brood placed in the centre of the hive. The strip can also be cut into 3-4 pieces to be placed in each corner of the hive Close the beehive and avoid any disturbances for seven days. Repeat treatment for 4 consecutive times, at the end of the treatment course any strips still present must be removed. Keep treatment out of reach and sight of children and store below 25°C in a cool, dark place keeping away from direct sunlight, do not freeze or refrigerate.
