Root barrier is a must when planting bamboo. Bamboo plants tend to be very invasive, normally after few years after planting , once established. The barrier is design to control the bamboo rhizome as a vertical barrier. It is 60cm deep, should be installed , leaving 1-2 cm out of the ground to stop the rhizomes from growing above the barrier.
