With their ability to provide shade, awnings are becoming more and more popular. The canvas can be quickly adjusted in size and shape anywhere and easily assembled - no matter where you are, whether on a terrace, balcony, in the garden or camping. The Shadow awning provides UV protection and is popular for children's play areas. The awning’s hem has a continuous fabric strap sewn into it, making it very tear-resistant and robust. Additional stainless steel eyelets can be used for stable fixing.
General instructions:Tip 1: Chose a suitable location for your awning. When possible, set up the awning in a location which is protected from the wind. Select a fixing point which is stable enough even with slightly windy conditions. We recommend to store away the awning in case of strong winds or a storm warning.
Tip 2: Determine the shade area. You should consider a minimum distance between the canvas edges to the fixing points during set up to allow the awning to open and close correctly. Each canvas is cut out with a concave (curved inward) shape. As a result, the canvas provides the ideal shade without creases between the fixing points. The length has been calculated from eyelet to eyelet.
Tip 3: We highly recommend a lower height of the fixing points, with a gradient of around 15 - 30°. A gradient prevents and reduces the penetration of rainwater and the formation of water pockets.
